Switching to solar power is getting increasingly popular because not only it is a solution to climate change, but it also puts money back into your pocket. The process to go solar can seem daunting but Solar Sesame will provide you with support and guidance every step of the way. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and efficient solar installation process.

YOUR HOME WITH SOLAR

Step 1

Site Survey

An expert Site Surveyor will visit your home to measure, review and finalize the plans we initially discussed. Just show them in and get back to your day. The process takes about two hours and someone over 18 years old will need to be at home.

Step 2

Permitting

Permitting is when we go to the local government to get approval to install your solar system. It usually takes about two to three weeks and we will let you know when everything is good to go.

Step 3

Installation

On installation day, our team will come to your house to install the system. Everything will be ready in about 4-8 hours. There will be minimal disruption to your everyday life and energy usage.

Step 4

System Inspection

Once your system is installed, we’ll schedule the inspection with the city. A representative will stop by to ensure the new system is up to code. The inspection will take about one to two hours.

Step 5

Interconnection

We’ll work with utility to get final permission for connecting your solar panels to the grid. The utility will connect your system to the grid and may install a new bi-directional meter. This process typically takes one to three weeks depending on the utility.
